E.C., I wish you could be as lucky as me. A fellow in the car club we both belong to has a "hand held hydralic" flaring tool. He came by and did my flares, ran my tranny lines and power steering lines in what seemed like an hour. I had all things ready but it was amazing....plus I used coil line.

Those things are expensive but perhaps you know someone, friend or garage, that may loan you one??
I "practiced" and make many decent ones but just not up to snuff.
