Tried to replace the mechanical and vacuum advance on my distributor. Snapped off one of the spring pins. Son of a monkey. The weight pins were worn halfway through anyway so just as well. Off to the FLAPS for a rebuilt unit. Got it all buttoned back up and got the timing set. Runs much better than before - determined a week or so ago neither advance system was working correctly.
