Finished my Frankland Quick Change rear end for my 53 1/2 ton. Polished the rear cover and the front bearing holder thingy. Cleaned up the pinion yoke casting. The factory put a thermal coating on the case that is supposed to make it run cooler. Replaced all the bolts, nuts and washers with stainless steel and polished them. Polishing washers is a bummer but my thumb is real shiney. Next week I will take it to Moser and get axles made. Had Frankland put a Gleason locker in it when they rebuilt it.

Went to Moser eng. and got my axles made. Frankland welded the wrong flanges on mt rear end and even welded them backwards (inside out). Moser cut them off and welded really nice ones on. Made my axles and took me out to the shop and showed me how to install the brakes. Supplied flange bolts that the kit called for using existing. All in 5 hours and sent me home all done. I have never had such good service!
