And here I thought my fenders were the only ones wrapped in bondo. I will admit that the person that did it made them look good. Nice smooth curves and line, but like you both mentioned, 1/4" thick in places. I'll be buying a hammer and dolly set from HF once I get them down to metal. If they come out half as good as yours did Carl, I'll be happy.
