Still fighting the battle with the brakes. Went to bleed the system and the bleeder sheared off, so I decided it was time for new front calipers. The problem is we don’t have a clue what they came out of. I discovered they looked identical to those on my ’79 donor truck (for the ’53 project). But when I went to bolt on the hose, no go, the bolts are different sizes. So now I’m replacing the hoses as well and since I’m replacing them I’ll replace the steel lines from the proportioning valve to the hoses as well. This way everything is brand new except the rotors which still look like new – they have new inner and outer bearings with less than a few hundred miles on them.
