If I remember correctly, the engine out of time can be a contributor to sootied plugs.

It's certainly running better than at any other time since I fitted it Jim.
I also wound the mixture screws in a 3rd of a turn.
It will get a full service and tune up before it officially hits the road anyway.
It'll do for now.
