Busy week...lots of time on the new 40 project, getting 32 years of storage cleaned out of my latest "barn find"(Webshots)...made our weekly informal gathering Friday evening and formulated plans for our 2 car/truck shows on Saturday. Twelve hours of fun in the sun...getting really hot....will probably be the last weekend of the 200+ shows as May and September are "Lovebug" months....nasty little blind mosquitos that will swarm in clouds.....their smashed carcesses will eat through clearcoat in a matter of hours and clog a radiator completely. Bug screens are mandatory!!!

Fuel prices dominate the causual conversations and the Big Block folks are getting a little nervous. Thankfully, the 54 can nurse a gallon of gas.....still trying for 22 mpg but traffic is going to have to slow down to 55 mph to make it happen.

Been following RATRODKINGS adventures with his pristine 57....has done a great job with his tactful lowering of the truck....and am scouting out a SBC for my latest project. I have much to learn about the GM bent 8 engine. Hope all of you are enjoying the spring as much as we are down here!
