Drove the '50 half ton to the monthly Inliners meeting last Saturday. Took all the new parts I bought from NAPA to do a complete tune up. Hadn't changed any of these out since buying the truck in '08 & I figured it was time. We installed new points & condenser, rotor, distributor cap, coil & a set of plug wires. Tried to time it but couldn't ever locate the ball on the fly wheel, but when we fired it off it ran very smooth so we figured the timing was pretty close. Didn't want to take time to crawl underneath to remove the cover & clean off the flywheel to find the mark. A project for another day.
