Got a Lot accomplished with the 3 day weekend, all in preparation for the big day when I try to start the engine which has been dormant for 50 years. Reinstalled the thermostat housing & water outlet complete with new Fel-pro gaskets.
I installed new upper & lower radiator hoses and a brass 5/16" nipple with barb to the inlet side of the new fuel pump to attach the Jerry can to. Soaked the carb in Berrymans Chem-dip, then after blowing out all the passages with the new blow gun from HF i rebuilt the carb with a kit from NAPA. Still trying to find an original carb insulator. Then I finally got around to prying open the glove box. Man, there was a lot of junk in there!!!
