I'm interested in your solenoid adventure. If the solenoid is grounding out does that keep it stuck in the "On" position? That would prevent the overdrive from disengaging (going into dirrect drive). If you disconnect power to it will that solve the issue?

Also when you say "won't go into reverse" what exactly does that mean. If you push the shift lever up towards reverse does it refuse to go? Or can you put it in the reverse position but then the truck just doesn't move?

I'm trying to think through my trouble shooting/reaction protocol if for some reason I all of a sudden reverse doesn't work.
