Installed the upper and lower control arms and spindles on the Danforth crossmember in 29 degree weather. Boy are my hands cold. All coming together slowly. If you are running a SBC like me you will run into some clearance problems with the exhaust manifolds. The 216/235/261 sixes will have no clearance issues.

I had previously used an 83 GMC IFS in my sub which allowed the engine to sit a little lower with the stock front mounts. With the Danforth setup the crossmember itself is lower resulting in the 283 being very low between the frame rails. In this position the spark plugs would not be accessable. So I will have to fab custom front mounts to get the engine up so I can at least see the plugs. I will have to wait till spring to finish this project now. Wisconsin winters are for snowmobiling,Ice fishing and deer hunting and not for laying under an old truck wrenching.
