Took the starter off the '51 project to do a visual inspection. It wasn't engaging when I hit the foot stomp. Nothing was gummed up after 48 years, so I'm thinking I didn't stomp on it hard enough to move the bendix gear into the teeth on the flywheel.

Also installed the new fuel pump I ordered through NAPA. Fit like a glove.
