"Back in the day", if you wanted to spend some extra $ when you bought a new car or truck you could get it "undercoated". I always wondered why anyone spent that money as most folks knew they would be trading it in in 4 or 5 years or less and even salted roads in the Northeast wouldn't eat the metal that fast.
Underneath that coating is the original fender paint.
If the original owner paid extra for it, I'm thankful for it's preservation of the metal.
Actually Jim, I was considering truck bedliner after I finish... or primer.
