Did some work on the '56 today. Awhile back I dinged a front fender coming out of the shop. Not bad but I found out the rear bottom corner was held on with bondo. Notice I said was. After that it stuck out and had to be pushed in to open the door.

Today I fixed it. The piece that is supposed to bolt on is completely rusted away. I built a block of oak to fit the gap and attached it with sheet metal screws. It should last my lifetime. Whoever gets it after I'm dead can laugh about the 'farmer fix'.

I also gave her a lube job while I had it in the air.
