It has been a productive week for my 50 chevy restoration. I removed the bed last weekend after grinding the last couple of bolts to remove the fenders. Then, I removed the driverside running board so my friend could have working room for the cab corner welding that we completed on Saturday. On Sunday, we removed two layers of metal patches from the cab floor and found the cab floor supports still in good shape. We proceeded to get one half of the floor board in place on the passenger side. I am fired up to continue with more work to meet my goal of driving with a new paint job before the summer of 2012 is over! This is the only vehicle I have ever owned that is older than me and I am enjoying the work since I can figure out most of the unknown portions by reading and talking to the fine folks on this website! If anyone in the richmond,VA area needs help with body work, let me know, my friend is very good and pretty reasonable on the price for his help.
