I had an inline six in a 1960 Ford 1/2 ton that wanted to run hot. Its been 50+ years but I think the cause was the timing was too far advanced. Check your radiator; if it's not new it might need flushing. You may need to add a fan. Take this over to the engine forum. Someone there will have better suggestions.
