Well today was the magic day for the "48 Burb after removing a bolt from the intake valve of #8 cylinder. Finally got everything buttoned up and replaced the fluids. Hooked up the battery cable and poured a touch of gas in the carb. Turned the key and she fired right up. Idled smooth and no stumble on acceleration. Still need to fine tune the timing and hook up the accelerator linkage. Then it's time to get er back on the road. Too hot to finish today so early tomorrow morning to finish up. drive
