- Pulled the front clip off of the '47 (with help from my wife and 14 year old son) and started removing the accessories to move them onto the '51 "transplant" engine.
- Greased the steering box with corn head grease (so easy to get to with the clip off)
- Cleaned up the distributor and replaced the vacuum advance
- Painted the t'stat housing, water pump, and damper to match the replacement engine.
- Cleaned the fuel pump
- Pulled the manifold assembly and finally got the heat flap freed up.

A busy few days and evenings, but a lot of good greasy fun, or as my family says: "Dad's threaded fastener therapy sessions"!
