Got the cyl head back from the machine shop yesterday. Looks really good but expensive. In the cleaning process on the block it was obvious that much rusty scale still remains in passage ways that cannot be reached and cleaned w/o removing the block and flushing it while upside down on the rack...so today that starts. The cyl walls no longer show the cross hatching but there are no vertical lines and it does not smoke so hoping the cyl's and rings are OK...I just cannot afford a full tear down and rebuild.
