Absolutely the way to go! I usually have general tasks on my sheet then as I get into the I get very specific. I keep a printed copy with me in the shop at all times and when I think of something or plans change I jot it down. Then I update the electronic version and print a new sheet at the end of the week (or sooner if things are really moving!)
