Got the remainder of the rotted plywood sheet and rusted strips cut out using bolt cutters and I replaced the starter with a reman unit and main power cable w/ the cloth covered #1 from Jim Carter. She starts up just fine now! Still need to get another length of #0 cable and ring terminals tho so I can add the cutoff switch in. ...couldn't bring myself to cut up the expensive cable even tho it's plenty long.
