And... now we're road legal! The above post seems like forever ago. I'm running the original single taillight/stop lamp on a skeleton rear frame until I get the bed installed. All the lights function properly. I may end up using the original hood emblem for a while & use that (new emblem cost) $200 for getting the bed finished for install. It is pictured in the link below if anyone cares to comment. It's pitted like a champ.

I don't have the door windows, the grille, the bed, the rear bumper, or the passenger side door handle installed yet. We do have a blast driving it. We have some decent grade hills here, so my son & I have been driving a good bit "to let the engine build up its wind". Or that's what we told his momma so we could slide out of the family gathering early... wink
