Finally got the dash off so I could remove the windshield regulator. As I suspected - small worm gear assembly is completely worn out. Rest of the unit is in very good shape. Since my unit will not "core" with any supplier, I will have to repair this one (or fork over $300!!!!). I am pretty sure that I can make any good gear set work on my components. So, the search is on!
