Removed the front axle of my '48 with the spindles attached. I needed a 30" pipe on my breaker bar to remove the shackle nuts. I thought I was going to twist the truck off the jack stands!

I suppose I missed my chance to buy a good impact wrench! Dang.

I'll be bringing the axle to a machine shop to remove the king pin lock bolts and the king pins if necessary. I couldn't get the bolts to budge with a 3/4" brass drift punch and hammer.
