Jim,thanks to the Stovebolt community and friends i've got based in Va. i've managed to avoid too many crippling shipping bills!
Most vendors in the USA rely on Fedex,UPS etc.(expensive) although many have free shipping within the 48 States.


I Had one quote from UPS of $112 to send one 1/4" brass airbag fitting from Illinois to Scotland..... big_eek
What I do is I usually get the parts sent to my friends who then post them to me by USPS,thankfully i've never had to wait more than 10days.
The main problem here with UK vendors is if it's a non stock item,it has to wait 'til they're bringing a container over,sometimes it can be weeks....
