last week on my '65 c10 :

replaced the heater defroster hoses with pieces from classic parts of america... they slipped on nice and snug with no issues.

replaced a few of the glove box screws with some reproduction ones, which are close, but not exact. However, at least they are all phillips heads now and the wonky over sized flat slotted screws are gone. grin

also I took off the valve covers to the later model SBC and painted 'em with engine enamel - gray, then the chevy orange red... looks kinda spiffy but that was a lot of work just getting 'em clean and prepping 'em to paint. Oh well, maybe the paint will make it run better. /sarcasm

It was good to do some wrenching on it again, fixing a few things at a time.

A few months back I had to epoxy the back of the fuse panel - to keep the metal snap for the glass bulb fuses in place - it kept walking around and turning off the heater in the cold! grin
