today, I charged the battery and fired up my 65 suburban. I then drove it out of the weeds and into my yard to assess what it needs to be on the road again. It needed brakes and carb when i quit driving it in 1992.

I bought the truck valentines day 1969 w/22,000 miles on it. I'm the second owner.
For twenty-five years it was the only vehicle i owned, it was my work truck, grocery getter, RV,stump puller etc. I even lived in it for awhile.

when i was younger i put up with manual brakes and manual steering and clutch. I think now at the age of 67 i might consider power steering ,power disc brakes and auto trans.

I'm off to dig up my shop manuals that have been packed away, i hope to be back with word that another old burb is on the road.
Jerry.

A truly inspiring story.
