I finally got it shifting right again.

I had transmission problems with the burb so I had a shop work on it. I got it back and it wouldn't move in reverse. The guy told me to bring it back so I pulled it again. Once I got it out I realized it's a linkage issue. One of my shift rods had a threaded adjustment. The threads were worn where the chilibob is and instead of going into reverse the chilibob would slip on the threads.

I got the tranny back in and tried to adjust the rod to new threads but there wasn't enough throw in the shifter to work that way. I went out to my parts trucks and found a clamp on chilibob. Works as it should now.

I also put lock washers under the nuts on my axle U-bolts. Last Sunday as I was leaving the Inliners meeting a guy noticed my shock hanging loose. I had lost 2 nuts. I limped it to two different auto parts stores and neither had 1/2-20 nuts. I ended up pulling one from the other side and came on home with 3 to a side.

While I was under there I gave it a grease job.
