Making progress on the Suburban brake rebuild. I just got the passenger side done except for the hose. Had the rotor turned, re-packed the bearings, installed a rebuilt caliper and new pads.

This is a POL kit that had a caliper go bad after 25,000 miles. Ruined the rotor on the left side. I bought a new one. That side is next. I'm taking an ice cream break.

Problems so far:

The caliper needed some grinding to fit the bracket. I expect it will take more grinding to get the wheel on. The POL one did.

The bolt to attach the hose doesn't match the threads in the new calipers. Good luck- I have a '73 frame out back with bolts that will work. Bad luck- The copper washers supplied with the calipers won't fit these bolts.
