Cruise Night for cancer on Friday night, man was it cold, I needed and overcoat, earmuffs and my mittens. Saturday Big show in the daytime at the 15,000 member Calvary Church in Naperville, IL, best great turn out I’ve seen so far at that meet. Weather could not have been more perfect; I even got the wife to go with me for once. First car show that she’s ever been to and she had a good time. Sunday was our AACA sponsored all day swap and car show that filled the Sandwich, IL fairgrounds, again an excellent turn out even with the threat of rain showers. Took my 1950, 3604 “work in process” to all the shows this week end and thought I would at least get an award for the rattiest looking truck there, and it was. I was kind of ashamed to bring something like that in amongst all those beautiful rods and restorations but at least I didn’t have to walk all that far when it was time to leave.
