Yippee! Another victorious weekend... and it's only Saturday! Took the carburetor apart (again) to find out why it keeps flooding. Decided to do another complete overhaul, but this time with a more critical eye. Discovered one of the float pontoons had fuel in it (hairline crack through the inside middle). Removed the solder vent plug, repaired the crack and closed the vent: fixed! Finished the overhaul and reinstalled. Set the timing, made final carburetor adjustments and then made a few test runs through the neighborhood... smooth!

Before the day ended, I ground off the rivets holding the spare tire channel and removed it in preparation for installing a contemporary chain hoist (from a Nissan Xtera),

Off now to find the correct metric bolts to install the hoist!
