I ordered 2 more cans of Detroit Deisel Alpine Green paint and my gasket set for the 261 rebuild... I'll pick up the paint today. The gaskets should be in, Tuesday.
I also received and installed the remaining Exhaust Valve Guides for my 261 head... since I broke two, during the initial installation of the set!
While I was in that process, a UPS truck stopped and the driver delivered my connecting rod bearings. SWEET!
I brought home 2 steel strap clamps (from work) to adapt the frappin HF engine stand mounting plate to my bell housing.
Hopefully this weekend I can mount the engine & bell housing assembly onto the stand, paint the block and install the crank, piston assemblies and cam.
I'm getting closer!
