I'm still detailing the suburban engine. Getting closer. Today I fitted the manifold heat kit I got from Jim Carter. I wasn't really happy with the kit. It came with grade 2 bolts and no nuts. The tubes are aluminum and weren't bent. I used grade 5 bolts. I bent and cut the aluminum tubes. We'll see how long they last.

Also cleaned and installed the fuel pump. Installed the thermostat and the alternator bracket. Still have to clean the alternator. Installed the valve cover.

Almost ready to take it off the stand and install the bell housing, flywheel and clutch.
