Spent yesterday AM modifying the seat brackets on the '48 Burb. When I bought it the configuration was like a California Low Rider from the '80s. I'm 6'2" and could not see over the dash. Seat was mounted flat to the floor. So I raised it 3 1/4 inches. Been driving it that way for a while but got tired of bumping my head on the door frame every time I got in. So yesterday I pulled the seat and chopped the bracket down to 2 1/4. Finally sits just right and no more headaches. While messing around I installed a '53 original 6 volt horn behind the grill. Not wired yet but I'll get to it. Happy motoring!
