Today...I removed a half inch bolt. (No biggie you say?). Well, I've been working on that same #@%! sucker for 6 months! One of four that go through the cast iron mounts that hold the bumper brackets, it simply would not yield. No amount of heat, Liquid Wrench, torque ala a two foot extension on a breaker bar or banging with a 3 pound sledge made any difference. Like it was welded in place. Drilling it was a (problem*), but it finally succumbed to a half-inch Milwaukee and four broken drill bits. Hoo-rah! And the medical bills for the day weren't even all that bad. Lesson...nuts & bolts that haven't moved for 65 years WILL test your resolve.
