For the last few days I have had the truck over at a friend of mind's place. He has a lift and we have been working on the running-board arms. I would imagine very few of these old trucks have escaped a side bump or "beer bruise" to the running boards. I never considered this until now that my boards are on and the splash panel doesn't line up equal to the other side and generally nothing fits well. I have shimmed three and put a pry pipe on one to drop it about an inch. My advice to anyone with their cab off would be to check the level on these arms to make sure they are level and true.
