After soaking the cylinders with 30W & Marvel Mystery oil for six months I was finally able to turn the motor over in my 1950 3100 by hand. That stirred me to attempt again to turn it over with the starter. Pulled the starter 1st to make sure the bendix wasn't gummed up & was free to engage the flywheel. It was perfect. Then pulled the valve cover & poured motor oil accross the valve springs & push rods. Reinstalled the starter, put in a fresh battery & hit the foot stomp. It turned over perfectly!!! I was excited!! That was major progress for me in my quest to make this motor run. Hasn't run since 1964. Also installed the new fuel pump I got from NAPA. Once I find a carb & get it installed I'll be ready to try & fire it up!
