After several days of hard starting, I found loose terminals on my dizzy cap and slightly black plugs. Changed the cap and cleaned the plugs yesterday afternoon. She fired right up with no hesitation but, after advancing timing and leaning it out a bit, I noticed there was quite a bit of vacuum at the dipstick tube.
Time to do a compression test and a leakdown. Thought I'd do that today but, it's raining AGAIN! here in what used to be sunny SoCal...
