This was the first time working on my truck since I bought it.

Previously thought my motor was frozen, but used some helpfull advise from the forum.

I took out and cleaned up all the sparkplugs and wires. Some of the wires broke from being so old. While the plugs were out, I sprayed some wd-40 into the cylinders.

I jacked up the left rear wheel, and put into a high gear. I then rocked the wheel back and forth until I seen the driveline finally start to move. The motor was turning thank god.

I put in my new 6 volt battery. The clamps are very old and brittle, so it was hooked up loosley. I checked the lights, they came on. I dont have a key for the truck, but thought I would try my luck to push the foot starter anyways. The starter turned the motor, but then stopped probably because of the loose conecction and corroded battery wires.

I got motivated by the motor turning, so I decided to start cleaning out the cab. I removed the bottom seat to find the whole underneath of the seat was filled with empty walnut shells and a nest! No dirty rat though. I cleaned it all out and found that my dirty original seat, when cleaned up has barely any wear and not one rip!

Im starting to have feelings for this ole' GMC
