Took the gauges out and disassembled the cluster. The speedometer unit was shot. Took apart the gauge package that came with the truck and it had a broken worm gear. Disassembled both and made one good one from the two. Re-installed it into the cluster and then back into the truck. Figured while I had it apart I’d replace the cable too. Now it runs nice and quite. Even had enough time to bring home the bed, but didn’t get anything done on it.
