I don't know if it is my imagination but the ride quality on my 54 as deteriorated. There was a modification to the rear spring. I asked for the bottom over load to be turned over to soften the ride but they cut the back portion off. I have some add on overloads and I added the driver's side and now I have to go get longer bolts to install the other side. They look like they have sagged at the end. Of course, Amazon has a complete bottom leaf. But other than the longer bolts I had the rest. I hope this helps. Side note I started noticing how much quieter the truck is now that the state and city are paving the worst roads. Especially the highway from my house to town.
