Just came back from picking up my '55 235 and powerglide trans. Dont need the trans but seller would not sell separately. On the way to pick engine up, I stopped at salvage yard and scored a seat for $100. 2000 Durango 2nd row seat measures 52" so it fits perfectly. Black leather with fold down middle section and it pivots forward so I will be able to store stuff under seat. Another productive day.

I thought my width was 52" as well and bought set of 2nd row Cadillac SUV seats that turned out about 1.5 too wide to shut the doors. I hope you have better luck.
