I spent the weekend/past few days pulling parts/fasteners for a fellow I met through a Chevy truck specific website. He is a Corvette restoration guru and has done some very impressive builds, including a champion at a recent Corvette Nationals. In any case, he tackled a '65 Chevy C10 swb fleetside truck and contacted me for some "hard-to-find" dealer/factory options for the 4-5-6 Chevy trucks. In short, I visited his shop a few weeks ago to see his '65 project truck.

To my amazement, he requested that I critique his truck, to ensure it was true to form and period-correct. During the past several years I have owned/collected/restored several 4-5-6 Chevy trucks and accumulated a vast amount of parts, both OEM and NOS. In the process, I have also gathered a substantial amount of historical reference information, dealer literature and manufacturer's data/manuals.

In a nut shell, I spent several hours at his shop, gingerly critiquing his '65, in order to "make-ready" for the '09 show season. In my travels and experience, I have never laid eyes on a more perfect example of a factory-correct/period-correct 1965 Chevy truck. It is extremely well optioned from the factory/dealer and will truly be a fine rolling example of classic 1965 vintage Chevy iron.

I am both humbled and honored to be involved in the process and truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a true restoration artisian, although on Corvettes. That is all I was able to accomplish over the holidays...I must say priceless!!!
