On Monday, I was heading out to do some running around in my truck and the speedometer started doing things it's never done before. Bouncing around, jumping to max then back to 0, all over the place. Got on my favorite web site and looked in the search area to find out what was up. Got some great info (as usual) and took to the repair. Removed speedo cable from back of gauge and cleaned and lubed it up with white lithium and replaced it, works fine again. The funny thing is that at some point before 75 someone must have replaced the speedometer, because on the back of the housing, written in grease pencil was $2.00. I checked on line and these things now go for over $200! Wow!
