I found a true Barn Find 1954 GMC 1 Ton 250 and got it home this weekend. It was purchased in 1955 by a gentleman who owned a mandarin orchard in Citrous Heights California. He took really good care of it and there was a treasure trove under the seat and in the glovebox of all things "old truck". He kept all of the tune up parts whenever he did a tuneup. All of the old points, plugs, caps and rotor were all under there as well as a rat that was still alive! I also found an open bottle of Jim Beam tucked in the cab corner, he was a true rebel, lol.

There's no rust on this truck at all, just the surface patina that comes with age. It spent it's whole life in this barn when it wasn't working, and when it was working, it was just driving between Citrous Heights and Loomis to deliver goods. So there's 62,000 miles on it. It sat in there since 2004 and I got it running yesterday with just a new coil and plug wires, some fresh gas and a new battery.

Pretty fun stuff.
