Wow -- I can finally post something to this thread smile

Over the weekend I was able to do the carburetor upgrade on the fire truck -- Took the original Stromberg off (along with the governor) and replaced it with a brand new Holley 500 (used the Mr. Gasket adapter the 60-66 GMC guys recommended. Nice, easy project. And the best part ... IT WORKS LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO.

I don't think I've ever had a project go quite like that wink

Bottom line: After 4 LONG years I finally fixed my fuel delivery system issues AND got a performance upgrade all in one textbook easy project that went without hitch.

Between that and a new grandson born yesterday I'll crawl out on a limb to say it was a fairly decent weekend smile smile
