This is the first chance I had to work on my new 1 Ton. The previous owner stated the brakes were seized and I was only able to get it to roll with winches and come-a-longs. Not even a long prybar would push this truck downhill off the trailer. So I decided the rear brakes were a good place to start so I can move it around easier. Unlike my 3/4ton, I easily backed off the shoes and removed the drums with a couple whacks with a rubber mallet. A little cold yet so I won't disassemble the brakes themselves till it gets warmer.
