Called the machine shop to see if by 261 block was ready. He gave a sad story and said not yet. Thank goodnes I'm in no hurry.
By the way, I asked if he checked the milled surface... the asnswer was no, but he will. Hmmm
Bought the 261 head from my buddy Allan McGee (fellow stovebolter) and feel at least I've made SOME progress today.
I keep telling myself "baby steps... baby steps..."
