I've finally cleared the '58 235 off the operating table and have now moved on to the second engine. To my surprise, this engine is a '58 261 with 235 head. Oh yeah! It's the one I want to rebuild and put in my '59 Apache! thumbs_up
I've removed the head, manifolds, fuel pump, starter, generator, oil pan and rod caps. The crank, pistons and cam really look good! I may have to removed the crank to get the pistons out from the bottom side though. Hopefully the cylinders can be cleaned up.
The Thanksgiving holiday might slow my progress, but I don't mind pausing to give thanks...
