Decided to install a new sending unit on the tank - and guess what? Was not even close to matching the tapped holes in the tank when float was "clocked" to proper position. Had to take my die grinder and slot 3 holes. I hate doin' that to a new unit I paid good money for. Then discovered unit is not grounded now because of the TankRenu coating, so gauge reads "full" with no gas in tank. Will run a separate ground wire from sending unit flange to seat riser tomorrow. Hope to get the fuel system finished and tested this weekend.
